i had this sorta idea in my head for a bit, so i started srawing it on paper, it looked pretty ok (except for the composition, originally tere were more people and it was a larger room.).
THen i watercolored it and it came out shitty. (not on sketch paper damnit!!!!)
So i made a cg instead.
I still dont like the BG too much, but it got the desired effeect, i wanted all the focus to be on Amaai.
I really LOVEd painting her, im starting to get used to CG painting and i really liked how she turned out.
as always, backgrounds bug me....

This is Amaai from my novel, at her father's funeral. The imagery is based on Chapter 9; Farce.
So, she actually is not on fire... its metaporic.... ah nevermind....

Oh, just wondering if you knew that they are wearing their kimono in the dead position? Yeah, Japanese traditionally wear their kimono in a y like fold, and at the funeral switch it to the oposite, like in your cool drawing. ^_^
