prototype cabinet of curiosities - the oracle

A fun crafty piece I made last year as a sort of prototype test product.
I had heaps of fun making it but didn't really think through much of the composition and made most of it up as I went along. As a result of course, it really an assemblage of found items.

I found the picture of the Fury in some art magazine and loved the look of it and went with this whole oracle kind of idea with the coins, the butterfly and the tarot card amongst other things.

I used coffee wash to stain the wood although i dont like the result that much.

Hopefully I can make more of these as little things to sell.
