Description
After having painted Geisha
i decided to do a chinese version.
this one of course is waay different.
First it only took me hours to paint, and i only used a large brush and mostly a palette knife.
It was a goodbye present to my mentor and fellow artist Margarita Garces, who has guided me in my art journey of oil paiting. I still have a hell of a long way to g and while im at it ill experiment with anything really.
Inspired by some sketches i did of some scultptures that i sketched (may put those on scraps). You may see those actual sketches digitalised or painted in the future or used again as reference for another painting who knows. But im proud of this one. It is a bit kitsch i'll admit but i wanted shape andcolour not exactly the actual image itself.
Something that gives feel of 'raise the red lantern' or something like that.
